Our Goats

With the love we have for all of our goats and the time we spend caring for them, it would never occur to us to use anything but the highest quality, all naturaol oils and other ingredients in our soap.

Here at Griffin's Ark we raise our own goats.
Although technically a wild animal our goats are
part of the family. Many of them have been born
here. All of them, we know well. Our goats are
happy, healthy and friendly. We spend a lot of
time with them and sometimes Chris even sings
to them during milking!

Here at Griffin's Ark we make our soap in small
batches using the cold process method. We believe
this gives us better control over the final product.
We have several recipes that we use, each containing
a different ratio of oils. The one constant in every
recipe is that all of our soaps are one third (1/3) unpasrueized goats milk. We add no water. Happy
Goat Milk Soap is all natural, contains no chemicals or preservatives and no fillers. All of the oils we use
are plant based, we never use animal fats.* And each
oil that we use in our soap has a purpose.

We know what our goats eat. We know where
they browse. We know when they have been
given their shots, if they have been injured,
whether or not they have a cold or other ailment -
and when not to use their milk. Simply put, we
know what goes in our goats, therefore, we know
most of what comes out!
The goat milk that we drink is the same goat milk
we use in our soap..

* it is our experience that some people like homemade soaps that use animal fats and some people will only use those made from plant oils. We don't think either is right or wrong. Just a preference.
